I've missed the Sun!!

Oh, Lovelies, I have missed you. I won't lie, it's been nice not blogging for the last few weeks. It's finally allowed me to comment more on other blogs and really think about what I want from this little old blog. I can't say that I have it all figured out yet, but I feel like this picture says it all. I am trying to figure out this Wonder Wheel of life.*

Anywho, I just wanted to say Hi. And let you know that the sun has been shining in SF. It's a miracle, but my note to the weather gods finally worked!! I don't want to jinx the sun to go back into hiding, but I heart Indian Summers!!

I don't have time to post more this week- we are jetting off to Santa Barbara tomorrow for a ridiculously fabulous wedding in Montecito (Hi Oprah)- because that's how we roll yo.

Our trip south is just the start to a crazy hectic month- after that we head North to cheer on the Huskies- Go Dawgs! And then back South to celebrate MIL Spice's Birthday!!!

Can't wait to share all of our crazy adventures with you and to catch up. In fact, I've decided that next week is going to be devoted to you the reader. Get excited.

Friday good and bad

Hi Lovelies, I am still on a blogging break, but I thought I'd just pop in and say Happy Friday. I got a little bit of good news this week and a bit of bad (back on State mandated furloughs).

I hope to share all of the good news as soon as I can. In the mean time, this picture just makes my heart happy:

Remember that scene in Dirty Dancing when slimy Neil is looking for Penny and Johnny tells Neil that she needs a break.

Well, my 10 year old self has never forgotten that line. Especially, the follow up line by Neil: as long as it's not an all night break.

This is my horrible way of saying, I am taking a break from blogging. I love this blog and the outlet it provides, but I need some time to walk away from it for awhile. I want to be able to provide quality content, and right now, I feel like I can't provide that. I love you guys, but I hope you understand.

I don't know how long awhile is, but I promise that 'it won't be an all night break.'

To nervous to post

Hi Lovelies,

If you've noticed, I haven't posted in many a days. This is going to sound strange, but so much is going on in life that I actually feel too nervous to post.

If you have been following for awhile, you know that I have been searching for more passion in my life or more importantly- I realized that I needed to separate myself from what I believe to be sucking the passion right out of me.

Well, I am really too nervous to post about how hard I am working on this front, but I thought I'd give a quick update and let you know--- I am working my ass off to keep moving forward.

In fact, moving forward is my new mantra. Once I have more news to share- I will outline my entire crazy intense experience.

Until then- I ask for your best piece of advice-- either (1) what's your best question to ask during an interview of a potentially new employer and/or (2) how do you best show that you want a position really really bad with all your heart?

Sorry for such a vague post- but like I said, my tummy is in knots just thinking about the possibilities.

Pretty Pale Pink

It's a Mad Mad World

Remember how I felt lazy and that I spend too much time on the couch in front of the TV. Well, this weekend, I got a hell of a lot of time in bed, on the couch and in the dreaded bathroom.

Uggg. It's too horrible to put into words- but my cute as a button nephew passed a terrible bug to everyone in my entire family this weekend. Except, of course, Mr. Spice with his "iron will" stomach.

In the mists of recovering, I started a new habit- Mad Med. We finally watched the first three episodes of Mad Man and I am now counting down the hours until Netflix sends us the next DVDs.

And it comes as no surprise that everyone who is anyone is blogging about the clothes, the design, the scandals.

I know, we are years behind this bandwagon. I hope some day we'll catch up. We've already started taping* the newest season for when we do.

I hope everyone else had a fantastic weekend- I am still recovering. So sad I missed visiting my niece while she was in town and the Renegade Craft Fair. Anyone else living in a mad mad world?
