Yesterday, I posted about my meant to be new Poster. YAY!!
Today, I am sad to post about what was not meant to be. Boo.
With all the discount sites out there- Groupon, Bloomspot, LivingSocial, One King Lane, Joss & Main. There is one that I belong to that has stood out: HauteLook.
For me, they are up my alley both in style (home decor and clothes) and price. About a month ago I got REALLY excited about a chair sale through California Modern.
See chair:
Price: $99.
Holy Shit, I called Mr. Spice and he yelled, buy, buy, buy. He even told me to risk it and buy the Green one:
Buy the green one I did!! Shipping was a bit of a bear bring the total to $133. But really, such a deal.
Unfort, the chair itself was defective. It came in two pieces- top- green chair- and bottom- rocking metal portion. Well, the top part was missing a metal screw thingy (whatever that is).
Technically, we could have jerry-rigged it to make it work, but it was defective, and I was regretting the Green. One problem- it was listed as NON-REFUNDABLE!! Holy hot mess, I never buy non-refundable things!!
Great news- after a few emails back and forth, including pictures showing the defectiveness of the screwy thingy- HauteLook apologized for the defective item, and last week they sent UPS to pick it up for a full refund.
Sad that it wasn't meant to be, but I totally want to give HauteLook props for pretty good customer service!!
So click here: HauteLook if you want to join. This is a totally free advertisement, but I guess if you sign up through this link and then buy something, someday I might get something back.
Have you ever wanted an item so bad- and then had to return it???
I saw this poster and fell in love. It felt meant to be:
1. it features a shark- and I call Mr. Spice, Sharky.
2. it helps raise money for ocean awareness ($5 to the Ocean Conservancy)- a cause and organization near and dear to my heart.
3. the shark is a Whale shark- "W" is the biggest letter and it just happens to be our last initial. A B Sea Poster.
Part of me thought that you need a baby in your life to display something like this. Well, Mr. Spice thought otherwise. He loved it more than me, and surprised me by purchasing it. Ekk. I heart it. Can't wait to display it.
Hello Lovelies, it's late on a Friday and the sun is shinning!! (Although, I am well aware that it it actually really cold out).
I am wrapping up Design Photopraher week with outside shots from James Silverman. What type of outdoor space to you like best?? Spa, Forest, Modern or Rustic?
Terminal 2 at SFO is about to open. And Man, it makes flying seem glamorous again:
Sustainable design coupled with restaurants from some of SF's best restaurateurs. From Cat Cora's restaurant lounge, to local celebrity chef Tyler Florence rotisserie at Napa Farms, to the City's first ever Pinkberry, to a lunch staple in downtown SF - The Plant Cafe Organic, I could eat for days!! AND there is shopping!
And three show stopping art installations by Janet Echelman.
I might just want to fly American or Virgin America, just so I can sit here:
Hello Lovelies, Just wanted to say happy weekend to all, and welcome any new readers- so happy to have you here on this small corner of the blog world.
It's bright and sunny in this neck of the woods. You may or may not have seen this picture before because of the beautiful DIY sky picture in the corner, but what I am really loving is the texture and the color.

It's all over this room. I wish this room was one of those see and feel books- where you could actually feel what it's like to be in there. Don't even get me started on how fantastic that light fixture is. Overall, the room feels like the perfect mix between winter cozy and summer bright, fresh and clean. Perfect for Spring.
What are you up to this fine Spring weekend?!?
