Jonsing for a 2010 Desk Calendar

In addition to my new series Days Like These. I often find myself jonsing for a new this or that.

In case you are wondering- according to Urban Dictionary-
"Jonsing- means to be in a state of withdrawal and/or need that next fix. Originally for drugs, but it has come to generally mean any strong craving (for chocolate, sex, coffee, sugar etc.)."

While I am no drug fiend, I do crave chocolate, coffee, sugar (obviously), but most importantly the need to SHOP. Even in my attempt to live green and spend less money, sometimes I can't resist my capitalistic urge to buy something!!! Which is why I now try to buy an organic or eco-friendly something, rather than just a regular old something.

Also, searching for an everyday item that is eco-friendly always adds a bit of difficulty to the search- which often curbs my spending speed- Big Bonus.

Ok. Enough of that. On to my latest obsession: My need for a Desk Calendar. But not just any desk calendar, a budget, eco-friendly, letterpress calendar!!!!

As a book lover, how could I not love this $23.50 calendar by frogpod? Each month has a fabulous literary quote.


And of course you can really never go wrong with PaperSource's bright and cheerful calendar for $18.50:

Unfortunately, none of these calendars really fit the eco-friendly bill. But guess what I did find!?

This PistachioPress eco-friendly (and chic, if I do say so) calendar:

Unfort, at $35, it's pretty much breaking the bank.

BUT thanks to my fabulous friend over at marissamakes, I was introduced to the beyond awesome Delphine Press letterpress calendar!!


Ummmm. Can we say perfection?? I think everyone should live by Studio Rule #1. And for only $20 for a refill (which doesn't include an easel or ribbon) it fits nicely in my budget.

Do I need it? Maybe. Do I want it? Yes. I'll be placing my order later today.
