One Year Down

Ahh, Lovelies, is it really, truly already late afternoon on Wednesday?? Last year this time, Mr. Spice and I were on our way to Panama for our honeymoon. sigh.

Which means that we just had our One-Year Wedding Anniversary. I can't believe I am already an old married lady- how the hell did that happen. Well, any way you slice it- this year I was much more excited to enjoy being married than even thinking about getting married again (to Mr. Spice of course).

It helped that we spent the day just how I like it- together.

With a nickname like Sugar, we started off the day just right by defrosting two left over cupcakes from Miette.*

They were a bit worst for wear; the vanilla survived much better than the chocolate.

What I am really excited to share with you (yes, I am a total geek) is my big Anniversary Surprise to Mr. Spice. Here it is all wrapped up in 'eco-friendly' paper (aka a grocery bag):

A poster of the quote that Mr. Spice read as part of our wedding vows, and designed by my super duper awesome friend Kara. I know it's a bit girly, but I heart it. And ironically, Mr. Spice had already repeated the quote earlier that morning- he's a total softy.

After a huge hike to enjoy the sunshine, we put on our second finest duds (our first finest are still our wedding clothes themselves), and took ourselves on a bit of a repeat. We stopped for cocktails and appetizers where we had our rehearsal dinner- the amazing Coco500. Best fresh strawberry rum drink ever! And then we jetted over to the Hotel Vitale and had an amazing dinner at Americano.


I can't believe it's been a year. And Mr. Spice, I didn't lie on our wedding day- I love you more each day.
