One of my favorite places to photograph in our house is our book case- as seen here:
Or when it served as our mantle here:
Now that the holidays are clearly over, I finally took down our OY letters yesterday (bummer). It is finally hang something over the bookcase. Do you see all that beige space in the first picture?
Perfect solution: the Ork Poster that I got for my birthday six months ago. I have been checking out Goodwill for months looking for a cheap frame to gussie up, but I never found anything that I loved; until, I was in my kitchen one day...
Mr. Spice has never loved our little poster collection in the kitchen- something about mass production, Z Gallerie, etc. etc.
So, I had a matte made at Fast Frames, cleaned the glass, and presto chango:
Just a little DIY note- I saved myself 30 bucks by replacing the pictures in the frames myself. It did take some work since the original poster was stapled in, but my handy dandy staple gun was able to handle the task.
Hopefully soon it will actually be hung on the wall and I'll get a picture of the other picture that I framed (the other picture is pretty kick ass if I do say so myself- and also San Francisco related).
Well Lovelies, that's a little Ork update Tuesday! Hope you enjoyed.

Very pretty...I have the Portland Ork poster framed in my dining room. I really like it, it's totally unique!
I love your bookcase too!
