Keep calm and carry on.

Obviously, that's something you put on a mug or a door mat. NOT what you say to your wife when she is expecting.
So that's how this a baby adventure began for us, and here's how I felt two days after that fabulous comment.
The rest of this post was written on April 14, 2011......
Two days later, I am still in awe. I can't believe that a little something is growing inside of me- and NO ONE else knows. Excited and nervous are the best ways to describe this crazy blessing.
Overwhelmed- would also be a great way to describe my descent into the pregnancy files. There is so much stuff to sort through and medical stuff. But really, I don't care. I just want to hear my Doctor say that I am healthy and every thing is great.
I have faith in the strength of this baby and my body. I feel pregnant- between the slight nauseousness and small cramp in my abs (it feels like I am sore after a good ab workout)- my body is doing it's thing. And I have to let go.
Go Nature Go!!
I am also overwhelmed by what you can't eat. People say it's not a lot- but, Hello, I eat a sandwich almost every day and now deli meat is out and eating too much peanut butter may be out as well- so no PB&Js (BTW, this is a total myth- eating PB while pregnant will not cause a peanut allergy in your future baby). It's even overwhelming Mr. Spice. All of a sudden all he wants are hot dogs- which count as deli meat and are a no-no. WTH?? We haven't had hot dogs in the house EVER.
I also wonder if my co-workers are going to start to notice that I am going pee every 30 minutes.
Wow. 36 more weeks to go and I just can't wait to meet my little bean? I am going to have to rethink that name- what would you call something growing inside your belly?
BTW, Mr. Spice has already called me Mama. Outwardly, I am annoyed, but secretly, I love it.
PS Bear with me as I continue to post Week 4-13 updates this week and next!!

you are SO cute! I had very similar thoughts and miss all the stupid things that you can't do while prego too! Caffeine is hard for me, hot dogs randomly became a craving too along with turkey subs from subway. Haha. I guess small price to pay for our little ones. :) Excited to keep reading these posts!
I'm so excited to "catch up" on your pregnancy! Congrats congrats!
I am SO excited for you! Yay!
Oh my goodness!!!! I've been out of town, and mostly out of touch with my online buddies. I somehow missed your big news. Congratulations, lovey! You are going to be such an amazing mama. :)
<3 you! xoxo
