There I said it.
I love coming home on a Saturday night or Sunday morning and watching all of my favorite shows.
Mr. Spice and I noticed a hot trend that we LOVE (PS- grass cloth wallpaper- totally not into) --
Banquettes.

As for the Sarah 101 Version. I can't get a good image from Google. This will have to do. I will say that the rest of the room was pretty awesome-sauce too.
And finally, possibly my favorite one from Apartment Therapy (via Palmer Weiss, who is ridiculously fabulous).
I just finished our own, not so Banquette, but benchette version of the Banquette for our dining area.
Hopefully some day I will be cool enough to have my own Banquette.

Love Love Love! I, too, saw both Apartment Therapy and Emily H highlight banquettes yesterday - very inspiring. Do you think they can be done in front of low windows without people leaning on the glass?
I was in lvoe when I saw this on Secrets of a Stylist too! It wouldn't fit in our current home, but I'd love to have one someday.
Heidi- you could totally do a banquette in front of low windows- you just have to make sure the back is extra strong!! And that it won't block out too much light- I love light more than banquettes.
Love HGTV! But my Tivo is messed up and I've missed so much! I love the Apartment Therapy picture! I will have a Slim Aarons picture one day. Is Apartment Therapy on HGTV now?
