Hello Lovelies, Happy Monday. A few days behind on this one.....
------
This week was a roller coaster for me.
It started off with a burst of energy over the weekend. I was finally feeling almost (like super close) to normal.
Monday- I went to a Pre-natal Yoga class that was just too much for me. (BTW- everything in this next section is 100% my opinion and what is best for me, and I 100% agree that your choices are what is best for you).
I am just barely starting to figure out this whole hippy vs drug birth thing (fyi- I am totally on the fence). I finally watched The Business of Being Born and I saw Ricki Lake have a baby. I knew to watch it with a grain of salt- and I did. I think I took away some really good things to know, but when some old white guy started to rant about how Mom's who give birth by c-section aren't going to love their babies- the whole movie lost credibility to me.
Are you going to tell me that my sister doesn't totally 50000% love her son? I don't think so.
Rant over, back to yoga.
This was my first time at the Monday class- and it was PACKED. One women was even past her due date and still going to class!! She looked pretty good too.
Well, the Yoga instructor is a Duola (which is awesome), but she was really into saying Vagina and talking about how birth is juicy. At one point, we closed our eyes for a minute and had to say the word 'Yes' over and over again- but with a juicy/seductive voice. Ummmm. I lost it when at the end (you know the part where you get to just lay there and veg out and connect to the baby) she started talking about how birth should be orgasmic.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to Monday night Yoga (at least for a long while).
Tuesday night- all energy left my system and I went to bed at 9pm.
Wednesday- I had a similar melt down from Tuesday, but I also had a bloody nose.
Thursday morning- Feeling normal-ish again. But realized that I am being phased out at work. While I still have 4 months left, I am no longer getting assigned long term projects. The most complicated project we've almost ever had got passed down to the new person (she's been here 3 days). I don't want the project, but it made me realize that my career (for the time being) is taking a different direction. This really put me int a fowl mood.
Thursday afternoon- I ran into a guy that I almost went on a date with 8 years ago-- he's now married to a good friend, and I consider him to be a good friend too. His reaction to my tummy was funny- he was so happy for me but tripping out at the same time. He's also the first guy to reach out and touch my belly. It felt like my old self (young, single and fun) and current self collided.
Some how, I walked away so happy and content with life and my current self.
The best part of the week- I am officially feeling Baby Berry move. She really likes it when I eat lifesavers! Surprise surprise- we have a little SUGAR lover!
Here I am Week 21, Day6 with my Bouncing Banana.
I think that it is finally time for a side by side comparison:
Waist- I miss you.
Hope you don't have a case of the Mondays.

I have also been feeling that way at work lately! My boss just keeps phasing me out of big projects and its kind of depressing. Oh well, I guess I won't care about that once the baby is here. Also you look great! Baby P loves sugar too - especially chocolate milk. :)
You look great! And I felt the same way after watching The Business of Being Born.
You look so wonderful! :) And who cares about a waist - you look amazing!
How in the world did you keep a straight face in that yoga class? As you can clearly tell, I'm not much of a hippy. ;)
You look awesome, my friend!
aww you're a cute pregnant mama :) I didn't do yoga when I was pregnant but I wish that I had! I don't know about calling birth juicy though... haha. ;)

You look great - and that yoga lady sounds crazy!
You are a beautiful pregnant lady! I had nothing near a "glow," but you definitely DO. Congrats, and I hope the coming months continue to treat you well.
