This year it is all about WATER. Beyond clear air, having clean drinking water is the most essential component to life. And according to the Blog Action Website- Across the globe, about 4,500 children die each day from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation facilities. Over 90% of deaths from diarrhea diseases from unsafe water and sanitation occur in children under 5 years old.
I am asking my readers to do one simple thing today- Take action in support of the UN’s work to supply clean, safe drinking water to the world’s poorest populations. Sign this petition in support.
It's one simple thing to help the children of the world.
Thanks for your support, spread the word.

Sanitation is a HUGE thing. I visited a bunch of schools and orphanages in Malawi, Ethiopia and Zambia and over and over I hear that clean water and sanitary facilities for girls can be the difference between whether a girl stays in school or drops out. Think about getting your first "visitor" and having to use common bathrooms where everyone can see what you have going on.
