Putting Review Week on hold. I've caught an obnoxious head cold- again!! We leave for Austin, Texas first thing in the morning for a wedding, so I am trying my very best to get in shape for the flight and the festivities.
In the mean time, I can not get this coffee table out of my head. Isn't it all sorts of fantasticness??
source.
The perfect pop of color. Thanks Room Remix for blogging about it.
So two questions for you this afternoon (1) what do/take when you have a head cold and a long flight!!?? (2) What's your absolute must do in Austin? We are only there for 48 hours! Ekk.

I love the coffee table- amazing look-
I love Austin and there is just no way you can eat as as many restaurants as you should while you are there!
Hope you head cold gets better- take a sleeping pill for the flight!
Well, 48 hours in Austin is simply not long enough. =P I went to college there, but I haven't been in a while; nevertheless, here are some suggestions. If you want a taste of the downtown scene, skip 6th street (it's all obnoxious college kids) for the Warehouse District - they're neighbors. I personally love to get martinis at the Tap Room (formerly B-Side) at 311 Colorado. Red Fez is also a really cool vibe, and check to see who's playing at Antone's. The Elephant Room at 315 Congress is amazing if you like jazz - also a really cool vibe. If you want to get out of the city and check out Lake Travis, watch the sunset from the Oasis Restaurant. I've never been there personally, but I've heard nothing but great things. I don't know where you're staying, but if you're looking for an upscale dinner, I've heard great things about the Driskell Hotel. Vespaio is supposed to be really good, too.
Don't know if you're into nature-y stuff, but if you are, check out the Greenbelt. You probably won't have enough time for this, but Hamilton Pool is the coolest place on earth.
Check out the shopping on Guadalupe and South Lamar. If you like books, GO TO BOOKPEOPLE. You won't regret it. Also, I don't know if SF has caught on to the drinking-beer-while-watching-movies thing, but if not, think about trying out the Alamo Drafthouse. Good food, good beer, good movies.
I probably just gave you enough info for a week... hope some of it helps!
I love that table. I bet you could DIY it.
