Construction Day 14

Hello Lovelies, Mr. Spice, Sugar Bear and I all returned from a fabulous vacation late Sunday night. We came home to (an almost) complete home. They are doing last minute touches today, and then we start the process of painting the main rooms. 

Here's the progress:

 Pretty sure that the new light floors knock my socks off and make the room a bazzillion times lighter!!

And one more after shoot- the opening between the Kitchen and the living area- I don't have a before since there was a wall right where I was standing previously, but it is so much more open!!:

One last, very small (yet expensive) change: Our new NEST. AKA Air Conditioning!! Whoot whoot. It's supposed to be 90 today.

You have to check out the genius that is the Nest Thermostat. Mr. Spice can program the Nest from on-line. He's so in love with it. 

What do you think?? I know everyone voted for the dark hard woods, but I think the light floors make ALL the difference in such a dark space.
