I may or may not have gasped out loud when I saw this designer featured on California Home and Design. Despite the title: Furniture for the Young Male Professional, I think this work is genius.
First off from Rock Paper Robot, connected by thin wires and held up by magnets: Next up, Mr. Spice hates leather, but do you think he'd go for a wood ottoman?? I do. From Japanese designer Ogata.
Or chair? Ridiculously AWESOME.
I think this is a great way to kick off inspiration for 2011?
Hey Lovelies, thanks for responding to my plea to know more about each and everyone of you. I feel like I relate to all of you. It feels like we are all doing this whole life/ grown-up / playing house thing- and it really really helps to feel like we're not doing it alone. Know what I mean??
Well, it sounds like you want some more inspiration!! And what can I say- ask and you shall receive. My Reader is now chuck full of inspiration that I can't wait to share.
The worst part about taking a blogging break- not being about to blog about the fantabulous Emily at The Brass Petal. You've probably heard of her- she's HGTV's new Design Star, and I love her. If you do know her- you know that my style and her style aren't really the same. BUT after watching the first episode of her new show- Secrets from a Stylist, I feel akin to her!
Seriously, she's giving the low down on how to make style work. So, I have to show off her latest spread in Coastal Living.
She captured the perfect mix between Big Sur ruggedness and casual California style:
I wish I could wake up in that house.
Is anyone else on the Emily Brass Petal bandwagon?
Well, it's been another week. Another cold, gray week in SF. While I got a taste of some sunshine yesterday afternoon as the sun peaked through the clouds, I am dying for some good old fashion heat. I am not kidding how cold it is here- people are even writing articles about how cold and foggy it is.
While I wait longingly for an Indian summer, I am drooling over this house tour on Apartment Therapy.
This house fits right in with the white and natural wood summer inspiration that keeps drawing me in. Hummm, do I spy a summer style trend?
Anyway, have a fantastic weekend lovelies. I am going to hang with my nieces, celebrate a friends liberation from a horrible job, and possibly head over to the SF Renegade Craft Fair. Best to you.
